We use the best consumer drone, the ‘DJI Phantom 4 Pro’ with 4K capabilities. We use it to produce fantastic aerial shots when appropriate which can really enhance the end product.  This all adds to the production value – giving a different perspective to every shoot.  As well as video, we can provide aerial photos and inspections.

For our video work, we use Panasonic GH5, which records videos in 4K crystal clear quality. Great low light performance, small size and lightweight which help us on remote shoots and in difficult spaces.

We use monitors such as the Atomos Ninja V, to make sure every shot is in focus, framed correctly and looks absolutely perfect. Field monitors are very useful for client work – they can display each shot on a high definition 5-inch monitor, so you as a client can review each shot with us and be a part of the video creating process.

Good lighting is crucial to achieve high quality, professional videos. We invest heavily in flights such as the Aputure 300D that get the set lit and help us achieve a high end product. Using LED lights like we do is much safer and efficient than traditional cinema lights.

Smooth movement is vital for any professional video. Here at MKO Studios we have a wide arsenal of stabilisers and use gimbals such as DJI Ronin S to make those beautiful smooth shoots.  We also use ‘traditional’ tripods and sliders made out of carbon fibre that help to save weight (while also looking pretty cool!).

We edit on 5K 27 inch iMacs that are regularly colour calibrated to make sure we give you ‘cinema quality’ videos. Quick editing stations mean quicker editing which for a client, means less waiting time.
